Cold Climate Seed Growing

This is a page of information for cold climate growers, located above 600 meters

Growers in high altitudes have the advantage of less heat in the summer but the disadvantage of very cold winters. But this kills all bad bacteria in the soil, wherein climates like here on the North Coast of NSW have to contend with nematodes.

Nematodes occur when the soil is  poor and needs to be built up with micro organisms.

Planting machine showing 3 rows with a fertilizer container dropping water into the wheels and when the plugs are pressed into the soil the fertilized water fills the hole and then the plants are planted into a wet hole.
